Archers of the West was formed in June 2000 by a group of enthusiastic and dedicated archers who felt the need for a progressive and forward looking club in the Hayle area.
Our aim is to encourage more people, young and old, into our sport and to help them to achieve whatever level they desire. We have a solid core of coaching knowledge to help archers progress.
We are an open and democratic club where all members are welcome, and, indeed, are encouraged, to attend and participate in all committee meetings. Day to day affairs are handled by the Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer who are required to report regularly to the members.
"Associate" members have exactly the same rights as ordinary members, indeed they are ordinary members who just happen to register with the GNAS via another club. There are no second class members at Archers of the West.
We are indebted to our hosts, the Hayle Football Club, for their unending help and assistance. They provide our outdoor facility overlooking St. Ives and Carbis Bay. Every member is also a member of the social club and as such we have full use of the bar, when open, and the sports facilities of the club.
