Archers of the West was formed in July 2000 by a group of archers who saw a gap for a club in the Hayle area. From the start we were set up with a view to have as much transparency and involvement with members as possible. Our aim is to encourage more people regardless of ability or background, into our sport and then helping them to achieve whatever level they desire. We taking a pride in being a friendly and supportive club.

We are an open and democratic club where all members are welcome and encouraged to attend meetings and to join in with club activities. Day to day affairs are handled by the Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and other committee members and we send regular news updates to all members to keep everyone informed.

Many members simply like to come along and shoot for the fun of it and in good company. If you want to compete at any level we will do our best to help. We have a several qualified coaches and over the years some of our members have achieved places on the national development squad and some hold county record scores.
